Feedback and assessment for learning

Children receive a balance of quality, selective formative feedback from teachers, and are trained in effective peer and self-assessment to enhance learning.

Time is given during lessons to allow children to respond to written feedback from adults.  Verbal feedback  takes place during lessons allowing children to make effective progress.

Teacher assessment is an ongoing process and through various strategies such as questioning and marking, next steps are identified for the children to make progress across the curriculum.
