Welcome Meetings4 September 2026 (by siteadmin) |
Parents are invited to a Welcome Meeting to find out about their child's class topics, homework, reading and PE. It's also a chance to have refreshments and chat to other parents and the teachers.
Dear Parents,
We would like to invite you to a Welcome Meeting at school. At the Welcome Meeting there will be a talk from a teacher about the class, the topics, homework, PE and reading. The children will also come to the meeting so they can hear about what they will be learning and doing during the year. The Welcome Meetings start at 9am. The children will take their parents to the hall when they arrive. In the hall there will be tea and coffee and biscuits (and a signing in sheet!). While the parents are having a drink, the children will go to their class for registration. The children and teachers will then come into the hall for the presentation from the teacher. After the meeting the children will have a drink and a biscuit with their parents and it will be a chance for parents to have a chat together. Your child’s teacher will be there too if you have any questions. The meeting will be approximately 40 minutes.
The dates and times for the classes are below:
12ME, 12IB, 12ES, 12YJ Monday 14th September at 9am
6EC, 6SA, 6SB Tuesday 15th September at 9am
34CT, 34CD, 34DH, 34GP, 34SP Wednesday 16th September at 9am
5CM, 5HP, 5JS Thursday 17th September at 9am
R1JL, R1LLS, R1NB Friday 18th September at 2pm
We hope you are able to come along. It is an important meeting to find out more about what will be happening over the year in your child’s class including homework, reading, PE and the topics your child will be learning about. It is also a chance to have a chat with other parents and the teachers. As an extra incentive (as if biscuits and a chat with the teacher weren’t enough!), when you sign in for the Welcome Meeting, you will get a raffle ticket for a £10 prize draw. The draw will take place at the end of the week. We look forward to seeing you at the Welcome Meeting.
Kind regards,
Helen Ross
